Chapter 2 The Dragoctor

"The box?" Hazel tried to remember. She finally recalled that Logan did indeed bring an ordinary wicker box on their wedding day. Because of this, her younger brother Noman even mocked Logan to his face, saying he came from ancient times.

"That's your stuff, you had the right to control it," Hazel said.

"Alright, then I have no other demands," Logan extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray.

The atmosphere once again fell into silence.

After thinking for a moment, Hazel said, "Logan, I know you feel wronged. But I have my reasons too, I hope you can understand."

"I understand," Logan remained expressionless and picked up a pen to sign the divorce agreement.

Seeing this, Hazel...

Finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But then, she immediately felt a strong sense of loss.

The marriage between the two of them ended just like that.

Although it was unfair to this man, it was the best choice for the future of House Beaumont.

"If you regret it, you can come find me anytime. I promise you, these conditions will always hold."

After saying that, Hazel picked up the divorce agreement and walked towards the door in high heels.

Logan glanced at her graceful figure and a bitter smile appeared on his face.

With this farewell, they probably wouldn't see each other again.

Logan mechanically got up and prepared to go upstairs.

"What are you doing?"

Emma stood guardingly in front of Logan.

"Going upstairs to get something, what else?"

Logan couldn't be bothered with her and went straight upstairs.

Emma thought for a moment, took out her phone, and went to a corner of the living room. "Hello, Auntie, Logan has already signed the divorce agreement."

A large flat in Riversilver Estate.

"What? Are you serious? That waste actually signed it?"

A beautiful woman immediately tore off her face mask and stood up in a flash.

She was Hazel's mother, Barbara.

Next to her, her tall and sturdy son, Noman, also perked up his ears.

"It's true, under my persuasion, he just signed it in front of Hazel." Emma bragged.

"That's great, this useless waste finally left my daughter. Emma, I'll give you credit for this!" Barbara exclaimed excitedly.

She had always been against her daughter's marriage, but her daughter was always infatuated with Logan.

Now, they finally divorced, and Barbara felt a sense of relief.

"We're all family, this is only natural."

Emma thought of something and immediately lowered her voice, "Auntie, this guy is divorcing and not asking for anything."

"Oh? He's that easy to talk to?" Barbara was quite surprised.

"Didn't expect that, this kid's got quite the ego." Noman sneered disdainfully.

"But, he wants the box he brought with him at the beginning." Emma said.

"What box?"

Barbara paused for a moment.

"I don't know either. Auntie, why don't you come and take a look? I'm afraid he might take away something valuable from the house, and things could get complicated later." Emma suggested.

"Emma, find a way to keep him here. Noman and I will rush over right now."

Barbara coldly snorted, "Hmph! After the divorce, he won't be able to take anything from our House Beaumont!"

"That's right! Otherwise, I'll beat him to death!"

"Mom, I'll go start the car."

Noman grabbed the car keys and hurriedly went to start the car.

What they wanted to do now was a battle to protect their assets!

...

On the second floor, Logan's gaze swept across each room.

For the past three years,

They left behind too many beautiful memories here.

Instead of going into the bedroom, he went all the way to the innermost utility room.

After turning on the lights, Logan pulled out a wicker box placed on the top of the storage compartment.

He blew off the accumulated dust on the box and then opened it.

There weren't many items inside the box.

The first thing was a flat sheet of oil paper.

Eighteen years ago, the Logan family suffered a calamity.

He was being chased, escaped Veridonia, wandered all the way to Mexus, and collapsed on the street, tired, hungry, and thirsty.

At that time, a girl bought him a piece of crispy bread, broke it apart bit by bit, and fed him with water, saving his life.

That little girl was Hazel.

Afterward, Logan carefully preserved the oil paper that wrapped the crispy bread.

"The debt from back then has been repaid, we no longer owe each other."

With a flick of his fingertip, Logan tore the parchment into shreds.

The second thing was a pitch-black token.

The token had an ancient and heavy design, with a vivid carving of a fierce dragon.

"Old friend, we meet again."

Logan carefully stroked the engravings on the token, and the blood within him boiled once more.

If the token were to reappear, it would surely stir up waves in the whole world!

He took a deep breath, calming his emotions.

The third item was a black cloth bag.

Logan's gaze skipped directly to it, finally focusing on the fourth item.

It was an old-fashioned mobile phone.

After connecting the charger and turning on the phone, messages constantly flashed on the screen.

"Dragolord, where are you?"

"Dragolord, please reply to us as soon as possible. The brothers are all eager to see you."

"..."

While flipping through the messages, a sudden incoming call interrupted him.

Logan looked at the unfamiliar phone number on the screen and furrowed his brow.

This phone number was encrypted, a special number that only his closest people knew.

After thinking for a moment, he pressed the answer button.

"The Dragoctor, it's really fortunate! I must have called you a thousand times, and you finally answered my call!"

The voice on the other end was filled with joy.

The Dragoctor!

Logan almost forgot, this was also one of his public identities.

"Who are you? How did you know my number?" Logan coldly questioned.

"I obtained your number from Lord of Liandie."

"I am Oliver from Mexus House Thorne. My father is critically ill and we are at a loss. I humbly request that the Dragoctor assist us!"

Logan narrowed his eyes and thought for a moment. Lord of Liandie should be Duke, one of his former subordinates.

After retiring due to injuries, Logan provided him with a generous settlement.

After that, it unexpectedly became Lord of Liandie.

As for House Thorne... it must be the richest House Thorne, with a very powerful influence in Mexus.

"I won't help!"

Logan had just gone through a divorce and was in a bad mood, preparing to go out and clear his mind, completely ignoring these worldly matters.

"Just a moment! Mr. Dragoctor!"

Oliver pleaded anxiously, "My father served the country and defended the homeland, and his constant toil has led to his illness. I beg you, save my father's life!"

"So he is a patriotic general."

Logan pondered for a moment before saying, "I can give it a try, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to cure him."

"Thank you, Mr. Dragoctor!"

Oliver ecstatically exclaimed, "Where are you? I'll come pick you up right now."

"Mexus." Logan said calmly.

"What?" Oliver was taken aback.

The famous Divine Healer, Dragoctor, was actually in the same city as him?

"I'll be waiting for you at the entrance of Ivywood Mansion, you have one hour."

Logan hung up the phone and immediately picked up his suitcase and headed downstairs.

Just as he reached the entrance, he was stopped by Emma.

"Hold on, you can't leave!"
