Chapter 8 She got in the Car
The car compartment was spacious, but due to their silence, the atmosphere inside became awkward. Alice fidgeted her hands lightly on her lap, seemingly at a loss. Throughout the journey, she didn't even look at Benjamin once. The thought of meeting his parents and having dinner together made her nervous, and her heartbeat gradually accelerated.
Meanwhile, Benjamin was busy answering phone calls non-stop, fully embodying the busy appearance of a boss.
Half an hour later, the car arrived at a large courtyard, and someone finally hung up the phone.
He turned his head to the small woman still picking at her nails and spoke up, "We're here."
"Huh? Oh," Alice Brown swallowed nervously.
Benjamin got out of the car first, but after he got out, he waited patiently outside without showing any signs of impatience.
After a while, a soft and gentle female voice came from the car, "Benjamin, I'm nervous. Give me a moment to calm down."
Unexpectedly, the man suddenly said, "Why are you nervous?"
Alice’s brain froze for a few seconds. It was true that she couldn't think in the same way as ordinary people when communicating with him.
For the girl's first meeting with his family, she didn't believe that he was not nervous. But this person, maybe he never knew what nervousness was, and it wasn't surprising.
After she got out of the car, Benjamin embraced her and said softly, "Only family members are here for dinner, grandparents, my mom, uncle, and aunt. You've met my grandmother already, and she really likes you."
"As for the younger generation in the family, it's only me and my elder brother, Benjamin. He's busy in the military and might not be able to make it today. He might even miss our wedding."
Knowing that she was nervous, Benjamin introduced her to the family relationships outside before embracing her and heading inside.
Alice wasn't surprised by the current generation of the Gregory family, which only consisted of two males. After all, the one-child policy had been implemented early on, and the Gregory family itself had officials in politics, so it was impossible for them to go against the policy.
As soon as they entered the foyer, they heard an old man's reproachful voice coming from inside, "Ah, why is this brat just arriving?"
Alice looked up and saw the Gregory family's grandmother walking out warmly, taking her from Benjamin’s embrace, and holding her hand with concern. "Alice, are you hungry?"
Seeing her approach, Alice held her tightly, fearing that she might fall. "Grandma, I'm not hungry. I ate a little something in the afternoon."
Just as she finished speaking, two middle-aged women who had taken good care of themselves came out of the kitchen, both wearing aprons. One of them had a shovel in her hand, and the other was holding a half-cut cucumber. They exuded a down-to-earth charm...
Benjamin stood by her side and nodded towards Sofia, the one with the shovel. "This is my mom, your mother-in-law."
"The one next to her is my aunt." He then introduced Linda, who was beside Sofia.
"Auntie, hello, Auntie." Although she was startled by the term "mother-in-law," Alice didn't directly address her as such and instead called her auntie, showing respect.
"Good, good, good. You're here, that's great. You should accompany grandma for now. Your aunt and I will cook two more dishes, and then we'll start eating." Sofia looked at her future daughter-in-law and grew more satisfied the longer she looked. Just as the old lady had said, she was a good child.
Finally, their pig had found its way to another family's cabbage.
Benjamin, feeling uncomfortable with his mom's bright smile, cleared his throat and said, "Let’s go upstairs and greet grandpa."
After speaking, he pulled Alice upstairs.
In the study upstairs, two men were playing chess.
Alice didn't need to guess; they should be Benjamin Gregory's grandfather and uncle.
Benjamin's grandfather had two sons in his life.
Son, one went into business, the other into politics. The eldest son is currently in a high position in politics, while the younger son, Benjamin Gregory's father, went into business. He was the founder of the Gregorys Group but unfortunately passed away at a young age.
Benjamin's grandfather also retired from a high position, so the Gregory family can be considered truly influential in both business and politics.
Alice had never imagined that one day she would marry into the Gregory family, a century-old prestigious family. Fortunately, they did not exclude her due to her ordinary background.
By the end of the dinner, Alice’s nervousness had disappeared.
Before leaving, she also received many gifts. The old lady gave her a jade bracelet, the aunt gave her a VIP card for her beauty salon, which had unlimited spending, and the future mother-in-law gave a generous gift, a car.
The gifts were all too valuable, and Alice hesitated to refuse. She was afraid that she would not be able to repay them in the future.
"This is a gift from your future in-laws, a gesture of blessing and acceptance of you. Darling, please accept it," Benjamin's grandmother affectionately patted her hand, urging her to accept.
Alice naturally looked at Benjamin, and only when he nodded slightly did she accept the gifts, planning to return them to him later.
When it came to the wedding, Benjamin's grandmother, aunt, and future mother-in-law were all very enthusiastic.
They said that the Gregory family hadn't had a celebration in many years, so they couldn't miss a grand wedding like this one.
Alice sat aside, watching them discuss with excitement. Suddenly, she envied Benjamin and his happy family.
By the time they left the old mansion, it was already half past nine in the evening.
On the way back, Benjamin focused on driving and didn't say a word. Alice didn't know what to say either. The silence created an awkward atmosphere in the car once again.
The dim light from the street lamps reminded Alice of what had happened that night when he drove her back to the hospital.
After a while, the Maybach entered a villa district and stopped in front of a villa.
Benjamin unbuckled his seatbelt and turned to her, speaking up, "We've arrived, get out of the car."
Upon hearing his voice, Alice snapped out of her embarrassing memories and quickly got out of the car. She retrieved her luggage from the trunk and the man led her towards the entrance.
The garage wasn't far from the front gate, and they arrived within a few steps. However, the closer they got to the entrance, the more anxious Alice became, and she even had the urge to escape.
However, before she could run away, the black gate opened.
Just as she stepped inside the house, her wrist was caught by a large hand, and everything began to spin.
She didn't even know what was happening before it all
The man pressed against the wall in the entrance of the house, and then, a flood of kisses overwhelmed her.
His body pressed tightly against hers, his scorching heat seemed capable of burning her.
Inside the quiet house, they could clearly hear the sound of their kisses, as well as occasional low moans that unintentionally escaped her lips.
Benjamin forcefully closed the door with a loud "thud". He lifted her up with a strong hand and swiftly walked into the living room, trapping her on the sofa. He buried his head in her fragrant shoulder, biting and punishing her playfully.
What was this woman thinking, revealing her shoulders all night, tempting him relentlessly? It made him restless.
Alice winced in pain from his bite and instinctively pushed him away, trying to break free.
However, the man would not let her escape even for a moment. He forcefully pinned her down with one leg and explored her beautiful body.
With a click, the man's scorching fingers moved behind her. He effortlessly unhooked her bra.
Alice involuntarily gasped and struggled to pull away from his restless hands behind her.
"Don't move!" came the man's hoarse warning in the darkness.
