Chapter 5 Satisfied

The highest value of this diamond necklace was the 1.3 million yuan that Hans had offered just now.

Alice Brown looked puzzledly at Benjamin Gregory, who had bid next to her, and softly said, "This necklace isn't worth that price."

Although they were only engaged on paper and had no real emotional connection, she still kindly reminded him. She had studied jewelry appraisal.

He didn't answer immediately, but after a while, he said seriously, "I wasn't planning on buying it."

After a pause, he added, "I just wanted to raise the price a bit."

Well, he raised the price to two million yuan.

Benjamin had just received Hans's personal information, and he also found out his motive for tonight.

Alice couldn't help but shrink back as she saw Hans's gaze, which seemed to be devouring her. He must think that she instigated Benjamin to raise the price.

"Two million, is there anyone else bidding?" The host spoke in a timely manner, wanting to finalize the price of the item as soon as possible.

"Two million once."

Hans became anxious and hastily raised his placard, suppressing his inner pain for money.

"Two million two hundred thousand," he said reluctantly.

"Two million eight hundred thousand," Benjamin Gregory calmly raised the bid by six hundred thousand.

The host looked around the room and spoke again, "Two million eight hundred thousand. Is there anyone else willing to bid? If not, this necklace will go to Mr Gregory."

Obviously, he thought that there would be no more bids for this necklace.

"Just...wait a moment."

"Three million." Hans furrowed his brows and raised his placard again. He was determined to get this necklace!

"Will Gregory raise the bid?" the host politely asked.

"No," the man's voice was lazy, cold, and ruthless.

With just these two words, Hans ended up paying an extra one million eight hundred thousand. Even a fool could tell now that Benjamin Gregory intentionally raised the price.

Alice looked at Hans's face, turning red in anger, and suddenly felt bad for herself.

She had talked to this man for such a long time, and he knew her mother needed eight hundred thousand for surgery, but he never offered any help, not even a loan. In the end, they broke up because he cheated on her with her best friend.

Now, just for a necklace, he casually spent an extra one million eight hundred thousand, and she was only slightly angry and furrowed her brows.

She didn't feel sad or regretful, only sad for herself for being blind enough to fall for this despicable man before.

"Let's go." Benjamin put his arm around her waist and they stood up to leave.

As Alice walked out of the banquet hall, her thoughts were pulled back. She tilted her head slightly and looked up at the man who was supposed to be her fiancé. Her nose felt stuffy, knowing that he was venting his anger for her. The sourness in her nose made her want to cry.

With the city lit up by colorful lights, the night enveloped them. Alice Brown now sat elegantly in the car. Fifteen minutes after leaving the hotel banquet, she stole another glance at Benjamin Gregory for the third time.

He was tall and well-built, with deep, captivating eyes and a perfectly chiseled jawline. He wore a tailored suit that accentuated his masculine aura. The cuffs of his sleeves were meticulously made, exuding an air of nobility and maturity.

"Are you satisfied with what you see?" his deep voice asked as he turned to look at the woman who had been caught peeping.

Benjamin Gregory is a very alert person, and she noticed it as soon as she took a glance for the first time.

Somehow, she suddenly felt the touch of the other person's breath, making it difficult for her to breathe. Being caught in that embarrassing situation made her face turn red, leaving her speechless.

Benjamin Gregory seemed unsatisfied with the lack of response and persisted softly, "Hmm?"

Alice Brown hesitated for a moment and blinked, "Satisfied."

The next moment, a low chuckle resonated in the compartment.

"No laughter allowed!" Alice Brown warned, feeling annoyed by being caught peeking and laughed at!

It was truly embarrassing, and she wished there was a hole she could crawl into.

Right after she finished speaking, Benjamin Gregory suddenly lowered his head and kissed her passionately. He held her chin with one hand and pulled her into his arms with the other.

Alice was taken aback and grasped his shirt tightly, widening her eyes.

"Close your eyes," Benjamin Gregory said in an unsteady tone.

Instinctively, she wanted to refuse after realizing what he meant, but she was trapped in Benjamin’s embrace and couldn't push him away.

"We are not alone." Knowing she couldn't reject him, she could only slowly cooperate. But there was still the driver in the front seat, and she didn't want to be watched while kissing.

Benjamin Gregory paused and pressed a switch in front, deploying a partition that completely blocked the rear seats. They couldn't be seen anymore.

His kiss continued, forcefully and dominantly, gradually conquering her.

Before long, she melted into his arms, the car's interior lit dimly, with only the ambiguous glow of streetlights enveloping them both.

After who knows how long, Benjamin Gregory's actions slowly ceased, releasing her lips. He rested his head against her neck, his breath irregular as he said, "Fulfilling marital duties in advance."

Alice Brown blushed even deeper when she understood what he meant, her whole body radiating a tempting pink hue.

And Benjamin couldn't resist either, lightly biting her tempting neck.

"Ouch!" Alice winced in pain as she pushed him away, a layer of tears forming on her long lashes. She looked at him with a sad expression.

Her voice became soft and sad, with a hint of crying, unlike the independent and strong Alice Brown Benjamin had seen before.

"Hmm, I'll be more gentle next time," came the man's serious words by her side.

Alice felt even more nervous, causing her face to turn even redder. Although she knew they would fulfill their marital duties, it was a bit too soon for her. She wasn't ready yet.

"I'll give you time to prepare." He was a man with physiological needs, but he respected her boundaries.

The refinement of upbringing showed in his approach—never forcing others, giving her time to prepare mentally.

"Tha...thank you," Alice stuttered, feeling embarrassed.

Ever since she took that card, she knew that this day would come sooner or later. She had always deliberately ignored this aspect, so she wasn't ready yet.

"Half a month to prepare." He could give her time, but it didn't mean he would wait forever.

She hesitated and nervously replied, "Understood."

After a while, Benjamin suddenly said, "Move your things over to my place on Saturday. I'll send you the address."

Surprised, Alice looked up at him, feeling a little uneasy.

"I have no intention of living apart after getting married," he continued.

"Or do you expect me to live with you in your employee dormitory?" Seeing her hesitation, his tone became noticeably impatient.

"N…no, I'll pack my things and move on Saturday," Alice hurriedly explained, finally realizing what he meant.

In a normal marriage, it's natural to live together. After all, even her body would belong to him. What's the big deal about living together? The real problem would be if they didn't live together.
