Mr. Ward's Nanny

Lily's POV

"Why does he keep staring at my breasts...?"

It was incredible how it was actually happening. I couldn't believe that my boss could be so brazen as to not look away when I was breastfeeding his child. And the worst part was that I found myself enjoying those indecent stares directed at me. I should definitely have covered my breasts or go to another room in search of privacy, but I stayed there, relishing the indiscreet looks my own boss threw at me. There were times when he even pulled up a chair and sat comfortably without taking his eyes off me. When he did that, I had a certain desire to sit on his lap and kiss him, or offer him my breasts, so he could suckle on them too. What would it feel like to have an adult man nursing on my breasts...?

When I received the offer to work at the Ward mansion, I never thought I would be in this situation. It had been the happiest day of my life when the Mother of the orphanage had sent for me to come to her office. Anxiously, I wiped my hands with a kitchen towel (as I was preparing dinner for the children in the orphanage) and made my way to the lady's office. It had been three days since baby Arthur had left with his father, taking a piece of my heart with him. I missed him so much... That baby was like he had come from my own womb. I simply couldn't explain how much I loved him, but he had been entrusted to me when he was just a few weeks old. My colleagues and some nuns from the orphanage had warned me about the child.

"Lily, this baby is not completely orphaned. He lost his mother, but his father is still alive, and he is wealthy, the owner of that haunted mansion at the end of the hill. They say the father of this baby is so bad that he even killed his own wife. So, don't get too attached to this child. Just do your job taking care of him."

But I naively didn't listen. So, there I was, taking care of the boy as if he had been born from me. That's why it hurt like hell when they took the baby away from me. With each passing day, I longed for my baby even more, but I was also painfully aware that I would never see baby Arthur in my life again. I had heard rumors that the father would move to London, taking the baby with him. But as I walked through the corridors of the cathedral, heading to Mother Superior's office, my eyes filled with tears when I heard the unmistakable cries of little Arthur. He was back at the orphanage!

Anxiously, I ran there, and when they allowed me to enter, I finally saw the baby, squirming and crying in the arms of his new nanny. Also in the room were Mother Superior and the tall man wearing a black overcoat whom I had caught a glimpse of on the day they took my baby away. I knew that man in the overcoat was baby Arthur's father. I lowered my head slightly, although I had a strong desire to run to my baby and hold him in my arms, as much as I wanted.

"Quickly, take the baby, Lily. Can't you see he's crying? Let's go!" The Mother had a harsh tone when she spoke to me, but it no longer scared me. I had grown up with all that harshness in the orphanage, and I had become accustomed to it. I nodded obediently and went to the baby. When I finally held him in my arms, it felt like the stars in my universe had finally aligned. It was as if my dark, cold, and gloomy nights had turned into bright and blooming spring days. The love I felt for that baby was inexplicable. Arthur calmed down and stopped crying in my arms. With him in my right arm, I gently stroked his face as I always did, and he responded with a gummy smile as if recognizing me. I had a silly smile on my face. I was so happy that my heart couldn't contain the joy.

"Goodness, this is incredible..." the nanny who had previously held Arthur crying was now amazed, witnessing my maternal connection with the child. How long had Arthur been crying? Surely the baby missed me just as much as I missed him.

"Is this the girl you were talking about, Mother?" I heard the deep voice of the man in the black overcoat in the room. The Mother chuckled flatteringly and spoke kindly to the wealthy man.

"Yes, Mr. Ward. Lily is indeed a great caretaker. It's no wonder that your son Arthur has grown attached to her. She may seem like a young girl, but she's already a twenty-two-year-old adult. She was abandoned at this orphanage as a child and has lived here ever since. Furthermore, she doesn't have many ambitions, so she decided to stay here taking care of the orphaned children." I saw my whole life being summarized in her words, but I was more interested in the baby, who seemed hungry as he sucked on my index finger with determination.

"Is Lily your name?" Mr. Ward asked me dryly, and I nodded timidly.

"Yes, my lord." My voice came out small and feeble. Looking up at that tall man filled me with a bit of fear...

"I want you to work for me as the private nanny of my son, Arthur."

That same afternoon, my small suitcase was placed in the trunk of Mr. Ward's car, and with the baby still in my arms, I was allowed to get into the car. My new boss sat right next to me while the driver gently guided the car along the road in the city of York. Looking through the smoked glass window, I watched as the Saint Laurent orphanage slowly faded into the distance as the car moved away. That had been my home for over two decades. I cherished good memories of the place and preferred to bury the bad ones. I looked ahead, realizing that a new life was beginning right before my eyes. The man beside me seemed like an immovable stone, impenetrable. He didn't say anything, and I suspected he wasn't even breathing. But when Arthur started crying in my lap, he abruptly turned towards me.

"Can you make him stop crying?" He spoke sharply, and I almost cried because of the rude way he addressed me. But I swallowed my tears and responded.

"He's hungry, sir."

"He hasn't been accepting the formula. How did you feed him? Do whatever it takes and do it now!" I knew Arthur never liked the formula, and it's not like I had a choice now. I unbuttoned my dress around the breast area and took out one of my breasts, which was heavy and sore from the days without Arthur nursing. Likewise, I adjusted the baby in my arms, and he immediately latched onto the full breast and began suckling eagerly to satisfy his hunger. I sighed, caressing the baby's face, ignoring the slight pain in my nipple from not nursing for three days. I started feeling the weight of the man's gaze next to me. When I looked at him reflexively, Garrett Ward didn't divert his eyes for a moment. He kept looking at my face and then lowered his gaze to my exposed breast. There was so much suggestion and lust in his eyes that I thought he might lean in and suck on my breasts right there in the car.
